Studio Visit + Toy Building Workshop

€60.00

With Flo & Isa

Visit the house and workshop of product designer, videographer, and dyi home renovators Flo & Isa from Artelier Scrap, where you’ll be guided around their creative house, walk through their garden, and get a hands-on workshop in their studio, to building your own toy using recycled, everyday materials.

After hearing their story of moving outside of the city, what inspires them and how they build their lives, you’ll join them at their favorite craft activity in their house: building a toy. You’ll learn how to use solid, workable material, simple molds and paper pulp made from household waste, and assemble your own art toy—shaping, sanding, and refining your piece with hand tools and machines. You’ll then personalize your creation by choosing colors, textures, and accessories, using discarded materials such as wood and old skateboards.

Beyond the act of making, the workshop offers an alternative to mass-produced plastic toys. It’s an invitation to rethink how objects are made and valued, while encouraging imagination, resourcefulness, and a more conscious way of engaging with materials.

By the end of the session, each participant will take home a finished toy!

About the artist

Anna Ruiz Planella is a Barcelona-based jeweler and the founder of Aguamarga Studio. She began her silversmithing studies in 2020 at Escola Massana in Barcelona and continued her training through specialized courses between 2021 and 2023 in schools and workshops across Barcelona and Lisbon, where she worked under the guidance of Judy McCaig. Alongside this formal education, her practice has been shaped by self-directed learning and experimentation.

Working primarily with metal, Anna places sustainability and craftsmanship at the center of her process. Her pieces are conceived as small, wearable sculptures, created through traditional silversmithing techniques.

Inspired by close observation of her surroundings, she translates natural forms, textures, and quiet details of everyday landscapes into contemporary jewelry—objects that invite both reflection and touch.
