Upcoming Studio Sessions

Wax to Silver Ring

Category: Jewelry

Create your own silver ring in a 2.5h workshop in a calm, light-filled studio in the heart of Gracia, guided by jewellery artist Anna Ruiz Planella. You’ll explore the ancient technique of lost wax casting using wax to carve, shape, drip, and build your design by hand. After the workshop, your model is cast in a metal of your choice.

Indigo Dye Experience

Category: Natural Dyeing

This 4-hour indigo dyeing workshop invites you into Carlota Simó’s garden studio in Valldoreix, near Sant Cugat, for an experience of slow craft and shared making. Together, we’ll prepare the indigo bath, learn about the history of the indigo plant, and experiment with simple techniques to transform fabric into deep shades of blue. Using simple, natural tools, you’ll work on a cotton bandana (included) and may also bring up to three personal pieces from home to dye. As the group settles into the rhythm of dipping, oxidizing, and observing color emerge, the process becomes an invitation to slow down, pay attention, and create together.

Carlota Simó

Artist and maker Carlota Simó works with plant-based dyes, textiles, and natural materials. Trained in Fine Arts in London, she now lives in rural Catalonia, where she combines her artistic practice with gardening, creating naturally dyed quilts and leading workshops that explore craft, plants, and the collective act of making.

Botanical Dye — Creative Residency

Category: Natural Dyeing

As part of our upcoming Creative Residency in Italy, Sept 19-23, we’re partnering up with Giulia for a 2-day botanical dyeing experience. A hands-on introduction to natural dyes, color, and slow making. We’ll begin with an overview of the natural dyeing process, then move into dyeing—immersing fibres into prepared dye baths, tending the pots, and observing color develop over time. We’ll explore different dyeing techniques, with space for experimentation and will leave with a selection of beautifully naturally dyed pieces.
