Duration: 8 hours
Location: TMDC Coworking Space Carrer del Cobalt, 57, 08940 Cornellà de Llobregat, Barcelona
Description: A full-day access to the wood workshop with hands-on introduction to the art of restoration and repurposing — to learn how to thoughtfully transform a second-hand object or piece of furniture into something renewed. Rather than building from scratch, this experience focuses on: how to assess a piece, repair and prepare surfaces, refine details, and choose finishes that honour your piece's character. You’ll work at your own pace, supported with practical advice and creative input whenever you need it and can use any material such as wood, metal and stone.
Includes: Access to the workshop, instruction, materials, and tools. If you don’t have your own piece of furniture to bring, workshop lead Audrey can advise on where to find an object or provide you with a catalogue of pieces, stored at the studio to choose from ahead of time.
About the artist
Audrey Pogu is a French maker based in Barcelona and the founder of Siempre Studios, a furniture restoration studio dedicated to giving second-hand pieces a new life.
She grew up in the countryside, where many evenings were spent in her father’s workshop experimenting with scrap wood and tools — an early introduction to the joy of making things by hand. Years later, when she moved into a long-term home in Barcelona with her partner, she began furnishing it with restored thrifted pieces, discovering the beauty and potential hidden in vintage furniture.
What started as a personal project soon grew into Siempre: a space where Audrey sources and restores second-hand furniture and home objects, transforming them into unique pieces for modern interiors. Her mission is to make beautiful, character-filled furniture accessible while offering a more sustainable alternative to buying new.
