Guided step by step, you’ll explore simple restoration and finishing techniques while transforming an object into a piece that reflects your style. Choose from a selection of stains, varnishes, and fabrics to colour, finish, and upholster your stool, learning how different materials and finishes can shape the final look and feel. This workshop offers an introduction to working with wood and surfaces in a relaxed studio setting. You’ll move at your own pace, with guidance and practical advice throughout the process. Leave with a small, functional piece for your home — and the satisfaction of having shaped every detail yourself!
Includes: One wooden stool, access to the workshop, materials (stains, varnishes, fabric), tools, and instruction.
About the artist
Audrey Pogu is a French maker based in Barcelona and the founder of Siempre Studios, a furniture restoration studio dedicated to giving second-hand pieces a new life.
She grew up in the countryside, where many evenings were spent in her father’s workshop experimenting with scrap wood and tools — an early introduction to the joy of making things by hand. Years later, when she moved into a long-term home in Barcelona with her partner, she began furnishing it with restored thrifted pieces, discovering the beauty and potential hidden in vintage furniture.
What started as a personal project soon grew into Siempre: a space where Audrey sources and restores second-hand furniture and home objects, transforming them into unique pieces for modern interiors. Her mission is to make beautiful, character-filled furniture accessible while offering a more sustainable alternative to buying new.
